Traditional painting techniques
Cd Rom produced by a group of European restoration institutes, coordinated by the Palazzo Spinelli Institute for Art and Restoration, with the decisive contribution of the European Commission within the INFO2000 action program. It traces the history of traditional painting techniques, illustrates the methods for scientific investigation, introduces modern restoration laboratories. A new way to retrace, in its technical and material aspects, one of the greatest adventures of humanity: that of artistic creation. It also includes five databases that are unique in their kind in terms of extension and quality of the material, including the Glossary which collects 1500 items, mostly illustrated, and the bibliography which collects about 1,000 text files and scientific articles dedicated to painting techniques and restoration.
Scientific direction: Claudio Paolini, Manfredi Faldi.
Software development management: Massimo Ciccolini.
The CD Rom is available in Italian, English, French, Spanish, German.
